Geneseo and LaSalle-Peru squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Geneseo had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers. The Maple Leafs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

LaSalle-Peru was led to victory by Emma Jereb and Aubrey Urbanski. Jereb had 13 digs and 11 assists, while Urbanski had 12 assists. That's the most digs Jereb has posted since back in September.

Geneseo's defeat dropped their record down to 22-11. As for LaSalle-Peru, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-5.

Geneseo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for LaSalle-Peru, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morris at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
