Hancock Central came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 51-47 W over the Johnson County Trojans. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 68-43 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Sonovia Reynolds was her usual excellent self, putting up 14 points. Key'Nya Scott was another key player, scoring nine points.

Despite the loss, Johnson County still got an impressive performance from Ziyah Lewis, who posted 24 points. The contest was Lewis' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was S'Riyah Bostick, who had seven points.

Hancock Central now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Johnson County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

Hancock Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-18 victory against Georgia Military College on the 17th. As for Johnson County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-29 win against Glascock County on the 27th.
