James Monroe skates past Sherman with ease

Recap: James Monroe Mavericks vs. Sherman Tide
The James Monroe Mavericks waltzed into Saturday's game with four straight wins but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sherman 48-15 at home. The result was nothing new for James Monroe, who have now won five games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Although Sherman took the loss, they still got scores from Trey Lester and Andrew Simpson.
James Monroe has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points per game. As for Sherman, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
James Monroe will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Cameron at 1:30 p.m. Cameron knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully James Monroe likes a good challenge. Sherman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
