Basketball Game Preview: Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers vs. Berea Bulldogs

Blue Ridge has gone 10-0 against Berea recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers will welcome the Berea Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Blue Ridge will be strutting in after a victory while Berea will be coming in after a loss.

Last Thursday, Blue Ridge strolled past Seneca with points to spare, taking the game 60-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fighting Tigers.

Blue Ridge can attribute much of their success to Opal Maralit, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards, and Audrey Harkins, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 19 points and four steals. Maralit is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kaydin Sullivan, who posted 13 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Berea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against Daniel, falling 76-24. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-13.

Blue Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Berea, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Everything came up roses for Blue Ridge against Berea in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured an 84-25 win. Does Blue Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Berea turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
