The Peak to Peak Pumas will challenge the Gunnison Cowboys at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Peak to Peak is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Peak to Peak is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Jefferson Academy on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2.

Dane Hirt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Owen Branscum, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Gunnison entered their tilt with North Fork on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Miners get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Cowboys have won by exactly ten runs.

Peak to Peak's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Gunnison, their win bumped their record up to an identical 13-10.
