Basketball Recap: Akiachak Takes a Loss

Akiachak lost a heartbreaker to Akiak when they met back in February of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Akiachak Huskies lost 59-39 to the Akiak Thunderbolts. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Thunderbolts: they've now lost six in a row.

Akiachak's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Akiak, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Akiachak has already played their next game, a 55-44 victory against Kalskag on the 17th. As for Akiak, they will head out on the road to challenge Tuluksak on January 25th.
