Baseball Recap: Hedgesville Wins High-Profile Match Against Jefferson

Hedgesville faced Jefferson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Cougars 4-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 15, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Brett Pedersen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Hedgesville's win bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 28-5-1.

Hedgesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson, they will face off against East Hardy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. East Hardy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight.
