Volleyball Recap: Tucson High Magnet School Takes a Loss

Tucson High Magnet School had taken Rincon/University down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Badgers fell 3-1 to the Rangers. The Badgers have struggled against the Rangers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Tucson High Magnet School started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-19.

Axel Fraser paced Tucson High Magnet School's offense, picking up 21 kills. Fraser got some help from Taltos Geml and his 23 assists. Geml was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Tucson High Magnet School's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Rincon/University, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Tucson High Magnet School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rincon/University, they will challenge Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
