            Softball Recap: Grant Pacers vs. McClatchy Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Grant extended their losing streak  to 13  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-15-1 in the process. They came up short against  the McClatchy Lions, falling  11-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  12-1  back in April.
As for McClatchy, their victory was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 13-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six  runs or more this season.
For McClatchy's part,  Lily Arbizo made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits (and only one walk). Arbizo has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with two  doubles and two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jayeliza Rogers, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April.  Juliana Hafar also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grant will venture away from home to  face off against Kennedy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for McClatchy, they will head out to  take on Antelope  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 8.5  runs per game this season.
