Recap: Fletcher Falcons vs. Grace Academy Lions
The Fletcher Falcons waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Grace Academy with points to spare, taking the game 39-25. This was payback for Fletcher, who suffered a 55-16 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Grace Academy saw an underclassman step up: Austin Miller scored six points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalista Pressley, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Fletcher pushed their record up to 6-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Grace Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Fletcher will head out on the road to square off against Providence Classical at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Grace Academy, they will be playing at home against South Charlotte T at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Charlotte T has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 27.
