Soccer Recap: Norris Takes a Loss

Norris fought the good fight in their overtime match against Crete on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Norris of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jack Malcom and Hayden Nielson scored both of Norris' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Norris and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Crete, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Norris will face off against rival Waverly at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crete is set to take on their familiar foe Schuyler at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
