Softball Recap: Saratoga Springs Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Saratoga Springs won the last time they faced New Hartford and things went their way on Saturday too. The Blue Streaks came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 5-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Streaks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kendra LeClair spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on 11 hits.

On the hitting side, Saratoga Springs secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Riley Marx, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Saratoga Springs' record is now 8-6. As for New Hartford, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Looking ahead, Saratoga Springs will face off against Vestal at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Golden Bears will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Blue Streaks surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Hartford, they will square off against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. New Hartford's pitchers better be ready for this one: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
