Volleyball Recap: Champion Comes Up Short

Champion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Memorial Red Devils, falling 3-0. The Golden Flashes were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Devils from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

Champion was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-6.

Champion's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Memorial, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, Champion will welcome Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Memorial, they will head out on the road to take on Heartland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
