Basketball Recap: Jacklynn Huff's Big Game Can't Quite Lead American Leadership Academy over American Heritage

American Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 39-26 to the American Heritage Patriots. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-28 back in January.

American Leadership Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacklynn Huff, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Daphne Gamble, who posted six points along with seven boards and three blocks.

Even though they lost, American Leadership Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive games.

American Leadership Academy's record is now 11-9. As for American Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

As of now, neither American Leadership Academy nor American Heritage have any future games scheduled.
