The Braymer Bobcats lost against the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers back in February of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Braymer fell 41-31 to Wellington-Napoleon. Braymer has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wellington-Napoleon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corinna Utterback, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Utterback continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brilynn Zykan, who scored 14 points.
Braymer's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Wellington-Napoleon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-17.
Braymer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they will head out on the road to challenge Pattonsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Wellington-Napoleon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
