Football Recap: Havelock Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Havelock extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the J.H. Rose Rampants. The Rams were up 14-0 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Havelock lost, don't look at Jayden Howard. Despite the final result, he rushed for 107 yards and one score.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Zy'King Patillo, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

As for J.H. Rose, the win got them back to even at 2-2. The victory almost wasn't to be: they were down 14-0 in the third quarter.

Nysean ?Ny? Davis was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 86 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Havelock will venture away from home to challenge Richlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for J.H. Rose, they will head out to face off against Middle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rampants' defense better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 36.5 points per game this season.
