Wellington School hadn't done well against Fisher Catholic recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Jaguars' pitchers stepped up to hand the Irish a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Wellington School's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Fisher Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
