Football Game Preview: Saint James Saints vs. Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights

The Saint James Saints will face off against the Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wyoming Seminary College Prep took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Saint James, who comes in off a win.

Saint James had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 35-point drubbing they dealt St. Stephen's & St. Agnes last Friday. Saint James blew past St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, posting a 35-0 victory. Considering Saint James' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

A big part of Saint James' win came down to the chemistry between Jayden Yates and his top target Marcello Anderson. Yates rushed for 83 yards and three scores on only 11 carries while Anderson rushed for 180 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. What's more, Yates racked up 70.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Saint James was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 300 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Saint James' defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was Jack O'Neal with 2.5. He has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Wyoming Seminary College Prep's offense. They had to suffer through a 27-0 loss at the hands of William Penn Charter. While losing is never fun, the Blue Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Quakers are ranked 91st).

The victory got Saint James back to even at 2-2. As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
