Recap: Drury Blue Devils vs. Pittsfield Generals
The Drury Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pittsfield. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Drury of the 46-43 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2020.
Pittsfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyana Summers, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Summers has been hot recently, having posted five or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Harolyn Castillo, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Drury's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pittsfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Drury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pittsfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Northampton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Pittsfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Monday.
