Preview: Lafayette County Huskers vs. Carrollton Trojans
Lafayette County is 9-0 against Carrollton since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lafayette County Huskers will head out on the road to face off against the Carrollton Trojans at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lafayette County has eight straight victories, Carrollton has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Thursday, Lafayette County humbled Lexington with a 58-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Lafayette County, who have now won seven matches by 25 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Carrollton fell victim to Holden's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Eagles 40-0.
Lafayette County's win was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating across those matches too: they took their wins by an average of 36 points. As for Carrollton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Lafayette County against Carrollton in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 79-12 win. Does Lafayette County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carrollton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
