            Baseball Recap: Arundel Wildcats vs. Glen Burnie Gophers        
        
		
        
        
            Arundel's game  on Wednesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Glen Burnie Gophers as they made off with  a  16-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
 Tahner McGriff looked comfortable as he  pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Rowland Thursby, who  fired off two  home runs, three  stolen bases,  and four  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Those  two  home runs gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Nicholas Billheimer, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Arundel was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .400. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.  When Arundel and Glen Burnie next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Wildcats will try to stop Broadneck's six-game winning streak when they meet  at 4:45  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Glen Burnie will  challenge  Chesapeake and their three-game winning streak  at 4:45  p.m.  on Monday.
