Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Bristol Eastern's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

The Bristol Eastern Lancers were able to grind out a solid win over the E.O. Smith/Tolland Bucks on Tuesday, taking the game 5-2.

Hailey Beebe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Emily Valentine was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times she's played.

Bristol Eastern is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for E.O. Smith/Tolland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

As of now, neither Bristol Eastern nor the Bucks have any future games scheduled.
