Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Patrick County

Patrick County won against Glenvar on Friday with 51 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Cougars walked away with a 51-40 win over the James River Knights. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Patrick County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chloe Hubbard led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Hubbard a new career-high. Gracen Conner was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Patrick County now has a winning record of 8-7. As for James River, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Coincidentally, Patrick County and James River will both be playing Carroll County the next time they take the court. The Knights will host the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cougars will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
