It was a good run, but Covington Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 18-3 to the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans. Sydney Ellis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Peyton Ledoux also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
