Recap: De Kalb Bears vs. Redwater Dragons
The De Kalb Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 62-43 bruising from Redwater. De Kalb was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Redwater apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Redwater was led to victory by Carson Wheat and Tyris Crowell. Wheat scored 18 points along with four steals, while Crowell dropped a double-double on 20 points and 21 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Wheat scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Johnson, who scored four points.
De Kalb dropped their record down to 10-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Redwater, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing New Boston the next time they take the court. Redwater will host New Boston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while De Kalb will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
