Football Game Preview: Miami-Yoder Buffaloes vs. Deer Trail Eagles + How To Watch

Miami-Yoder hasn't had much luck against Deer Trail recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Buffaloes will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Miami-Yoder has given up an average of 63.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Miami-Yoder is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost to Manzanola at home by a 72-55 margin on Friday. Despite 84 more yards than the Bobcats, the Buffaloes couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Meanwhile, Deer Trail played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 77-43 loss at the hands of Hanover. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-31.

Miami-Yoder will have to keep a close watch on Jayden Mingee and Chris Manriquez-Bustamante, a pair of players who had a big impact on Deer Trail's prior game. Mingee gained 187 total yards and three touchdowns, while Manriquez-Bustamante threw for 204 yards and three TDs. Mingee's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 110 receiving yards.

Miami-Yoder's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Deer Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Miami-Yoder was dealt a bruising 70-34 defeat at the hands of Deer Trail in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Buffaloes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
