Basketball Recap: Rootstown Rovers vs. Garfield G-Men
Rootstown gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Garfield G-Men 65-16. With the Rovers ahead 48-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rootstown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kelsey Bittecuffer, who went 7 for 11 en route to 17 points plus three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Germann, who posted seven points plus five steals.
Rootstown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-69 victory against Columbia on the 26th. As for Garfield, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hubbard at 7:00 p.m. on December 9th.
