Soccer Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Oakwood Lumberjacks, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Shawnee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while Oakwood are ranked 69th).

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 1-15-1. As for Oakwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season.

Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakwood, they will be taking part in a tournament against Brookville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
