Basketball Recap: San Juan Comes Up Short

If San Juan was feeling good fresh off their 47-14 takedown of Esparto last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The San Juan Spartans were dealt a 78-26 loss at the hands of the Colusa RedHawks on Thursday.

Colusa's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jace MacKaben, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Smith, who put up 15 points.

San Juan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Colusa, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Juan will venture away from home to square off against Florin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colusa, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sutter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Colusa is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
