Baseball Game Preview: Wren Hurricanes vs. Westside Rams + Official Tickets

The Wren Hurricanes will take on the Westside Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wren 3.1, Westside 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Wren managed to slip by Fountain Inn the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hurricanes lost 12-3 to the Fury on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Meanwhile, Westside had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Vikings a 6-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Not much got past Colter Crosby, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Emerald off the board. Crosby has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brody Caudle was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Noah Pate was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Westside now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Wren, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-5 record this season.

Wren came out on top in a nail-biter against Westside in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 5-4. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
