Baseball Recap: Gross Catholic Falls Short Against Ranked Skutt Catholic

Gross Catholic faced Skutt Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cougars lost 13-0 to the SkyHawks. The match marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Gross Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robbie Brennan, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Brennan has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Gross Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Skutt Catholic, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
