St. Johns had to endure  a  five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past the Morenci Wildcats  6-5. The Redskins' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
St. Johns let  McKray Johnson and  T Platt run wild. Johnson  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Platt  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most  runs  Johnson has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Cy Lindsey, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  RBI.
 St. Johns  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morenci struck out 13 times.
St. Johns' win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Morenci, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record  this season.
 St. Johns will face off against Snowflake at 1:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Morenci, they will challenge Round Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
