Baseball Game Preview: Aiken Fighting Green Hornets vs. South Aiken Thoroughbreds

The Aiken Fighting Green Hornets will take on the South Aiken Thoroughbreds at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Aiken is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Aiken didn't have quite enough to beat North Augusta and fell 2-1.

Aiken saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Tindall, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Aiken, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Midland Valley an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. The Thoroughbreds not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1st (when they won 10-0).

Aiken's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for South Aiken, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.

Aiken took their win against South Aiken when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. Will the Fighting Green Hornets repeat their success, or do the Thoroughbreds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
