Basketball Recap: Memorial Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Memorial Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sterling Classical Soldiers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-33 back in January.

Memorial Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kalin Love, who posted 21 points along with six boards and five steals. That's the most steals Love has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cody Williams, who put up eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and four steals.

Memorial Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Sterling Classical, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-7.

Memorial Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-27 win against St. Mary's on the 4th. As for Sterling Classical, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Methodist Children's Home on the 4th.
