Recap: Arroyo Dons vs. De Anza Dons
The Arroyo Dons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their tenth straight loss. They fell 68-59 to De Anza. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Arroyo in their matchups with De Anza: they've now lost three in a row.
De Anza found their leader in underclassman Ahmari Otis, who scored 34 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Otis has scored at least a third of De Anza's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaleel Jackson, who scored eight points.
Arroyo bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for De Anza, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arroyo will face off against Washington on Wednesday. Washington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 919 points over their last 12 contests. As for De Anza, they will head out on the road to take on St. Patrick-St. Vincent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Patrick-St. Vincent is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
