Volleyball Recap: Wilbur-Creston-Keller's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Wilbur-Creston-Keller challenged Mead on Saturday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Wilbur-Creston-Keller was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

Brystal Neilsen paced Wilbur-Creston-Keller's offense, picking up five kills. Neilsen got some help from Callie Cousins and her 33 assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wilbur-Creston-Keller fell to 2-1-1. As for Mead, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Wilbur-Creston-Keller wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Timberlake on the 13th. As for Mead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Coeur d'Alene on the 13th.
