Softball Recap: Southwest SD Wins Going Away Against Castle Park

Southwest SD won against Lincoln on Monday with 27 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Raiders blew past the Castle Park Trojans 27-8. Considering the Raiders have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Southwest SD got a massive performance out of Aketzalli Rodriguez, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Michelle Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Southwest SD was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .750. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in 17 consecutive matchups.

Southwest SD now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Castle Park, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.

As of now, neither Southwest SD nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
