Baseball Game Preview: Pleasant View Christian Warriors vs. Central Baptist Swordsmen

The Pleasant View Christian Warriors will square off against the Central Baptist Swordsmen at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither Pleasant View Christian nor Central Baptist posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Pleasant View Christian managed to slip by South Haven Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors lost 7-0 to South Haven Christian on Tuesday.

Conner Vick was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

At the plate, Pleasant View Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Busler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Central Baptist had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Tipton Christian Academy, falling 19-0.

Pleasant View Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Baptist in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, sneaking past 13-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
