Basketball Recap: St. Luke's Episcopal Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Logan Stephenson and Armani Coleman

St. Luke's Episcopal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chickasaw Chieftains. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since December 30, 2024.

St. Luke's Episcopal's loss came despite strong showings from Armani Coleman and Logan Stephenson. Coleman went 6 for 14 on her way to 17 points, while Stephenson went 5 of 12 en route to 14 points and five steals. That was a full 40% of St. Luke's Episcopal's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Madisen Gable also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

St. Luke's Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Chickasaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Luke's Episcopal nor Chickasaw have any future games scheduled.
