Recap: Bonita Springs Bullsharks vs. Canterbury Cougars
The Bonita Springs Bullsharks lost against the Canterbury Cougars back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bonita Springs had to suffer through a rough 74-19 loss at the hands of Canterbury. Bonita Springs was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-12.
Canterbury's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaya Langford, who scored 23 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The matchup was Langford's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Miller, who scored 14 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Bonita Springs' defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.8 points per game. As for Canterbury, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Bonita Springs will be playing at home against Island Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canterbury, they will head out on the road to face off against Lehigh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lehigh is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
