Colbie Martin looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, Chloe Hollon was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Peyton Thrash, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Prattville Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for W.S. Neal, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let Escambia County get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Thursday. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for W.S. Neal, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12.
