Softball Game Preview: Harpeth Indians vs. Hickman County Bulldogs

The Harpeth Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Hickman County Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickman County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Harpeth, who comes in off a win.

If Harpeth beats Hickman County with five runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Indians had just enough and edged out Fairview 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

The team relied heavily on Cameron Hayes, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Hickman County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of East Hickman County.

Hickman County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Harpeth, their win bumped their record up to 6-10-1.

Harpeth was able to grind out a solid victory over Hickman County in their previous meeting on Tuesday, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
