Softball Game Preview: Bishop Grimes Cobras vs. Pulaski Blue Devils

The Bishop Grimes Cobras will head out on the road to square off against the Pulaski Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Grimes is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

Bishop Grimes is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 21 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Port Byron on Monday. They lost 9-0 to the Panthers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Cobras were not able to get on the board.

Bishop Grimes saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Myla Pankow, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Pulaski made easy work of Bishop Ludden on Saturday and carried off a 13-7 win. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Gaelic Knights: they've now won five in a row.

The win got Pulaski back to even at 3-3. As for Bishop Grimes, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Bishop Grimes might still be hurting after the 18-3 defeat they got from Pulaski in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Can the Cobras avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
