Volleyball Recap: Lamar Consolidated Gets the Win

Lamar Consolidated saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Tomas by a score of 2-0.

The win didn't come easy: Tomas scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18.

Lamar Consolidated's offense was headlined by Boado Alyssa and Payton Joyner, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Alexa Perez and her nine assists. Isabella Howard controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lamar Consolidated's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Tomas, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Lamar Consolidated didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Benjamin Davis on the 30th. As for Tomas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Bay City on the 30th.
