Softball Recap: Tyler Legacy Has No Trouble Against Cedar Hill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tyler Legacy). They blew past the Cedar Hill Longhorns 14-3 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Tyler Legacy got a massive performance out of ReNaa Hicks, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Hicks is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hadison Maxey, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Tyler Legacy and bumps their season record up to 3-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs over those games. As for Cedar Hill, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Tyler Legacy will head out on the road to square off against Mesquite at 6:30 p.m. on February 25th. As for Cedar Hill, they will be taking part in a tournament against Temple at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
