Football Game Recap: Monroe Academy vs. Bessemer Academy

Monroe Academy won the last time they faced Bessemer Academy, and things went their way on Friday, too. Monroe Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Bessemer Academy 18-16. The margin of victory was a little narrower than expected seeing as Monroe Academy are ranked 110 places ahead of Bessemer Academy in the state rankings.

The victory bumped Monroe Academy's record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Bessemer Academy back to even at 1-1.

Next week, Monroe Academy take on Success Unlimited Academy at 7:00 PM. As for Bessemer Academy, they will face off against Glenwood. Bessemer Academy continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight game.
