Soccer Recap: Derry Takes a Loss

Derry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 6-0 to the Yough Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Yough this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-1 loss back in September.

Derry's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Yough, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Derry will head out on the road to challenge West Shamokin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Derry's defense better be ready for this one: West Shamokin have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Yough, they will welcome Charleroi at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
