Desert is 9-1 against Boron since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Desert Scorpions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Boron Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Boron took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Desert, who comes in off a win.

Desert is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Frazier Mountain 84-19. The Scorpions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Boron played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 81-27 loss at the hands of California City. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-17.

Desert will have to contain Moses Garcia as he made an impact in Boron's last game. He posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Boron smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

Desert's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Boron, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Desert against Boron in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 67-26 victory. In that contest, Desert amassed a halftime lead of 37-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
