Basketball Recap: Legacy Drops Season-High Score on Silver Creek

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Legacy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Silver Creek Raptors 65-22. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-10.

It was another big night for Olivia Mortensen, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Legacy's points. Another player making a difference was Gianna Schmidt, who posted nine points.

Legacy was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Legacy's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Silver Creek, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Looking ahead, Legacy will face off against Broomfield at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Broomfield will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Legacy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Silver Creek, they will challenge Longmont at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Silver Creek is facing Longmont at the right time seeing as Longmont is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
