Softball Recap: Antonian Prep Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Antonian Prep waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Hebbronville Longhorns 16-4. The Apaches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Bella Vasquez was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Autumn Losoya, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Antonian Prep's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hebbronville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antonian Prep will welcome Savio at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hebbronville, they will be playing at home against Idea Academy on Tuesday.
